Kim handles underwriting, documentation, and monitoring of legal matters presented for funding. Kim graduated magna cum laude from Miami University (Ohio) with an Economics degree in 1996, and with a Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1999.  Since then, Kim practiced law in Illinois and Texas, predominantly as a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, representing clients in litigation, arbitration, regulatory inquiries, and trial.  With GT, she handled an array of business disputes ranging from contract claims, real estate litigation, bankruptcy litigation, fraud claims, class actions, white collar investigations,  and whistleblower claims.

After short stints at boutique law firms representing entrepreneurial clients,  Kim was introduced to the litigation finance industry.  She joined a legal funding company in early 2022, where she assisted consumers in obtaining litigation advances to alleviate their financial hardships after accidents and injuries. She joined Rapid Funds in early 2024, very eager to use her legal experience to assist attorneys in financial solutions that enable them to better serve their clients.
